Succinic Acid of vegetable origin: the first plant in the world will start in Pomacle-Bazancourt ( France)

ARD (Research and Development Agro-Industry) announces it has obtained the planning permission for the first plant of succinic acid produced by fermentation of sugar or cereal. This unit will be built on the site of the bio-refinery of Pomacle-Bazancourt, near Reims (France). As agreed between its shareholders ARD and DNP Green Technology, Bioamber will benefit from an investment of € 21 million from ARD in this demonstration plant, which will be operational in autumn, 2009.

BIO-raffiniert Congress

The congress BIO-raffiniert was organized on March 24 and 25, 2009 in Oberhausen, Germany. Renewable resources and their potential market will be treated. Bio-based products, markets and prospects; integrated biorefinery technologies: survey; strategies and technological tendencies, networks and financing means will be central issues for the discussions.
