ARD (Research and Development Agro-Industry) announces
it has obtained the planning permission for the first plant of succinic
acid produced by fermentation of sugar or cereal. This unit will be
built on the site of the bio-refinery of Pomacle-Bazancourt, near Reims
(France). As agreed between its shareholders ARD and DNP Green Technology,
Bioamber will benefit from an investment of € 21 million from ARD
in this demonstration plant, which will be operational in autumn, 2009.
